Scope of services and liability clause

BRZ Legal Consulting provides exclusively consulting, coordination and administrative, legal and real estate support services. BRZ Legal Consulting does not practise law or notarial functions, nor does it provide direct legal or notarial advice.

All legal and notarial services required by the Client shall be performed exclusively by lawyers and public notaries duly registered with the Bar Association of the Republic of Costa Rica, in particular through the collaborating firm MRZ – Lawyers and Notaries, or by the professionals designated by said firm.

The legal and notarial liability arising from: legal advice, drafting and interpretation of legal acts, notarial authentication, and interpretation and application of Costa Rican law, rests solely and exclusively with MRZ and the legally authorised professionals involved in each matter, in accordance with applicable regulations and their respective professional liability insurance.

BRZ Legal Consulting assumes no liability for: judicial, administrative or notarial decisions; delays attributable to public authorities or third-party professionals; economic, financial or asset-related outcomes arising from investments; legal interpretations provided by third-party professionals. The liability of BRZ Legal Consulting is strictly limited to the proper execution of its consulting, coordination and follow-up services, and it may not be held responsible for professional acts reserved to lawyers or notaries.

The collaboration between BRZ Legal Consulting and MRZ is independent, with no corporate, employment or exclusive legal representation relationship. Each professional acts under their own professional liability.

The Client declares having been expressly informed of the nature of the services provided by BRZ Legal Consulting and accepts that: legal and notarial advice is provided by independent qualified professionals; BRZ Legal Consulting acts solely as a consultant and coordinator; legal and notarial liability does not rest with BRZ Legal Consulting.
